276 toy hauler electrical issue not charging battery
Can anyone tell me where the converter is located on the 2012 276 toy hauler?
My battery is not running my lights etc so no 12 volt power when not connected to shore power. Thinking its a limiter in the wiring from battery to coach as the battery is fine.
I just want to check the converter to rule it out. I have checked breakers and fuses already

This sounds like a battery “disconnect switch” issue. My ‘07 x210 doesn’t have one but those that do have it mounted in the storage area near the front of the trailer. Look for a black plastic box with a “push/pull” switch. IMHO, it’s a bad design as the battery can be inadvertently disconnected if something in the storage area pushes the switch “in”. Check that out first. RE: location of the convertor, they are generally placed in an easy access location, near the floor. I would think that it would be in plain sight!

your disconnect should be a chrome knob where all of your switches are on the left when you open the door . make sure it is pulled out

Yes, most likely the disconnect switch is the culprit. As to your initial question, the converter is located behind the panel with fuses & circuit breakers.

Str8ball, let us know what happens! And here is a pro tip: because the chrome battery disconnect knob is so easily pushed in (and thus disconnected), I put a little eye hook on a magnet right near the switch.
When the knob is pulled out, I slip the hook over the stem of the pull knob, so that it does not get pushed in accidentally, thereby causing your fridge to stop working since there is no longer any power to the motherboard, thus ruining the contents of the fridge, which is a hassle when you are boondocking many miles from a grocery store.
Don't ask how I know this.

On my 2012 XT276 the panels with fuses and circuit breakers is located directly below and near the refrigerator.

I've seen and heard about the push/pull disconnects. Ours is a large red rotary switch. Was that way when we got the rig and looks OEM but, who knows, may have been changed in the past.
Different layout in a small rig I'm sure but our converter/breaker panel is below and near the fridge on the "hookup" side or back side of the camper.

My battery disconnect on my 185FBS is simply an in-line fuse outside near the battery

There are almost always two fuses in trailers, one inline located near the battery and a second located in the converter on the wire headed to the battery. The one at the battery protects the battery from a short to ground. The one in the converter protects the output of the converter from being shorted.

From what folks have posted over the years, not all trailers came with the disconnect switch. Plus the possibility that it was removed by a prior owner.

Check the inline battery fuse and converter fuse. If that does not work, buy a volt meter and start checking wire voltages to track down the problem. As for where the converter is, well it would be low to the floor, probably near the frig with a ventilation panel.
