Default Added a tow hitch to our travel trailer

We're not planning on towing anything, we just wanted to mount our bike rack.

I bought the hitch from etrailer.com for around $230 and spent about 5 hours modifying it, and the trailer, to get everything to fit. The hitch is rated for 1600lbs tongue weight (Class V), weighs about 85 lbs.

Nice, clean look. Thanks for sharing the excellent pics. You will never regret making it extra sturdy. When we go boondocking in the desert, we don't take our bikes so I use our 2" receiver for one of those plug in steel box racks and load our washtub fire pit and wood on it.
