Default air conditioning thermostat

I'm looking to add a thermostat to my AC unit. I have the 19 fbr and wondering if anyone has added one or know how to add one. I'm tired of the thing running 24/7 while camping. thanks

I wasn't able to find any "Add On" thermostats for rv AC units. the only thing I found was a Coleman rv ac unit with a wall mounted thermostat, but its for ducted units and runs around $730.

You could DIY, but that would require quite a bit of work I would wager!!

Dometic does make thermostats for the ac and furnace. I have the brisk air A/C on my 189fbr. it runs my ac and furnace and will work the heat strip that i will be installing in the A/C So now my ac doesnt run constantly it goes off and on just like at home. The thermostat is located on the dometic web site i beleive its call a analog thermostat. so if you have the same A/C as me find the model number on your A/C and then find the Thermostat you need off their website thats what i did then went to Ebay and bought one for 32 bucks and it was a snap to install the only B i had was running the wires up the AC and back down to the thermostat and then put in the the place where the old furnace thermostat was. Theres also a digital one if you want to pay more money

Also if you have the same AC i have i have no idea how the heck you run it 24/7 mine is so loud i have to turn the TV up full blast to hear over it. we tried sleeping with it on one night cuz it was so hot and none of us was able to sleep. And i was told the ac was SO QUIET lol what a joke.
