Default Battery disconnect

Just bought a 2011 Fun Finder X 189FBS. The battery disconnect switch does not seem to disconnect anything as all 12v lights and instruments still work. Would appreciate hearing back from anyone.
Thanks
Dave

First do you still have the shore power hooked up? if so then all the lights will work. If not then you have a problem with the wiring as I did. I found that they had not spliced the wire that acts as the cutoff for the battery into the system. It was just hanging in behind the converter. if you are not electrical minded suggest you take it back to the dealer and have them do it because you have to cut the correct wires and splice the connection to the switch.

Default Battery Disconnect

This is a handy little switch, but I think prone to problems. On mine, I had trouble activating the switch. Turns out the fuse at the battery was shorting out. They replaced it with a breaker.

Something else. Suddenly, after unloading the front compartment, my 12 V lites ceased to function. In a panic, I phoned my tech for advice. He suggested that I might have pushed it to the "off" position when shifting things around in the compartment. How stupid does he think I am, I thought. I went the compartment, and, sure enough, I had pushed it to the "off" postion while working under there. Go figure! I think the tech just rolled his eyes when I phoned him back.

Default battery disconnect

You mentioned a battery disconnect switch on your first post. Don't know if there was one on 2007. Mine is a 2009. It is located inside the front right storage area, against the wall facing the rear of trailer. It is a "push pull" toggle. Pull it out to turn system on. Push it in to shut down the entire 12 V circuits. So if you forget something when you put the trailer away, e.g. a light, everything turns off, which saves your battery from being killed.
