Default Battery Power Rule #1

After loosing all power...check BIG RED BAttery disconnect button to be sure you didn't acciently pull it OUT while putting lawn chairs away. That's what I did and learned the hard way! Ah the joys of camping.

Default disconnect Switch

I've wondered why there isn't some sort of guard or lock on that switch. Has anyone done this?

Good idea, I'm going to put that little cage top from a small halegon lite over the button. Somehow after this weekend -I don't think I'll ever forget about the disconnect.

I have learned some hard lessons and I have learned a ton on this blog..I'm going make a laminated "panic" list of solutions to some of the million things that can go wrong. I was having such an "OMGosh" moment Saturday, there no way - I would have thought to check the disconnect.
Next up..I want to know EXACTLY where and how to manually put the slide in. I like my ducks at least near the pond since 95% of the time I camp alone.

Default Manually moving slide

There's another FunFinder/Shadow Cruiser group on Yahoo. Here's the link:
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/...r_Fun_Finders/

There's a contributor on there, Canucktraveler1 (misspelled?), I think, who just posted several photos of his slide with the facia removed. You can easily see the details of the mechanism including the manual override. his FF is the 215, but I think the slide would be similar, if not identical.

Made a "guard" for the switch in my '08 210WBS. The switch is in the forward pass-through storage compartment where anything sliding around could shut the system down. A bad design in that model and on the newer ones they've moved the switch inside. Still not "ideal" as the one on my friend's unit is at floor level and can be bumped easily with the broom, vacuum or toe of your foot...better, but, still prone to accidental bumps.

Could be worse...at least mine had a disconnect switch, many don't have one at all.
