Default Bumper

I have noticed some talk about not having a rear bumper and no place to put bikes. I just finished installing a custom rear bumper on my 2010 189fbr. I cut vertical slots in the rear panel on the outside of the frame rails that allowed 3"x3/8" thick flat steel through that I bolted to the frame with (4) 1/2" bolts on each side. The flat steel extends past the rear of the camper so the 4"x 1/8" square tube that I used for a bumper sits just past the spare tire. I installed a 2" receiver into the bumper that also ties into the rear panel to give the bumper side to side stability. I have pictures if anyone is interested in seeing this. It took me the better part of 8 hrs to build and install this bumper and about $100 in materials.

I use photobucket.com (it's free tto sign up and use)
resize and upload your pictures to photobucket.
when you have uploaded you pictures (takes seconds) chose the picture you want to post. click on share, then get link code, copy and paste IMG for bulletin boards & forums here in your post.
Hope this helps.

Nicely done. That looks like a pretty sweet installation.
