I would advise going to Napa or some other automotive store and ask them, just be sure the caulk matches the exterior of your trailer in color. I would personally avoid going to an rv dealer for any advise, they only care about your needs when trying to make a sale.
Eternabond is about the best you will find for adhesion, durability, ease of putting on...and this is equally important, the ease of removal without leaving a residue that will prevent future repairs. Beware silicone type sealants; they leave a silicone residue that is almost impossible to remove (even after you look like you've removed the sealant it leaves a silicone coating that a new layer will not bond to.
Just a heads up

My 2 cents, your mileage may vary...
I e-mailed Cruiser RV a while back. They use Geocell 2300 sealant on the exterior and interior. ProflexRV sealant is the same stuff and easier to find. http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...e-sealant/3245
I just redid the exterior windows and interior around the sinks and shower, it sticks really well and you won't have to worry about compatibility with the existing sealant.
For the Roof they recommended Alpha self leveling lap sealant. I couldn't find this so I bought a self leveling roof sealant from Dicor. Make sure it is made for your roof type. In my case it's a TPO roof. http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...p-sealant/5737
After constantly having to check the lap sealant and re-sealing (my 139FK leaked in the front corner seam when i got her) i finally put on the 4" Eternabond tape and could not be happier NOT to have to worry about leakage anymore...i love that stuff!

The neatness depends on how much time you take to do it neatly...i think it looks a heck of a lot better that those old gobs of sealant. I did clean mine up with acetone to give it "tooth" and I ordered the 4" width...it comes in many widths.

Thanks for all the good advice. when using 4" Eternabond tape do you need to remove all the gobs of sealent the factory used? Or can you clean it then just put it over top? Salty
I did not scrap off the old as it was well affixed...but, as i said above, I cleaned it really well so the tape would adhere really well. I found the best deal on Ebay on an auction that ended in the wee hours of the morning...they have it in cut lengths so you aren't stuck with a ton of leftover on the roll...
