Draining fresh water tank

Hi all!! I'm relatively new to the RV world. I bought a 2009 189FBS in 2018 and have a question about draining the fresh water tank. I winterized it myself last fall but now have to turn on the water pump to drain the tank. What am I doing wrong?

There should be a valve on the tank that drains it on the ground.

You'll probably have to crawl under the trailer to find it.

I have a 2009 189fbs also. There is a pet cock at the rear of the fresh water tank for draining it. Lift the front end of the trailer above level to make sure the entire tank will drain.

Thanks all....there are two plugs under the bed to the right of the fresh water tank....one cold water and the other cold. I pulled both and some water drained out but the tank is still 3/4 full and won't drain unless I turn on the pump. I'm so confused!

Crawl under the trailer. At the rear of the fresh water tank is a plastic pet cock for draining the tank.

If they are red and blue hoses that is the low water drain to remove water from your lines.

The tank drain is usually right on the tank and goes to the ground. Mine sticks out about 1/2 inch through the floor.

I had this problem with a similar era 189FBS. The fresh tank has a sagging bulge that took going up a steep hill to empty from the valve. After reading how others solved this problem I purchased two lengths of angle iron which I bolted to the frame under the tank. This held up the bulge. Problem solved. FunFinder later adopted this solution on new builds and warranty fixes.
