Default F-233RBS adding a BBQ grill

I want to connect my Coleman grill on a long hose to the propane supply from my FF. I can't see any quick connect fittings under the RV, but I do see this:

This looks like a propane junction box with three unused outputs with blanking plugs in them. Is that right? Or is this something I shouldn't mess with? I was thinking I could remove one of these plugs and install a quick connect. I would then use an extension hose with a quick connect on the RV end and something on the other to connect to my grill, sans regulator.

Cheers
Simon

A block identical to that is where the factory plumbed in a quick connect to hook my factory provided propane grill hose to.

My husband says that we have a t-fitting on black pipe under our trailer and then another piece of black pipe runs perpendicular to the side of the trailer with the Quick disconnect fitting on it. Yours is a junction block that does the same thing as our t-fitting as Eagle said.

Ah wonderful, thanks! When you get a minute would you mind taking a photo of your block and the plumbing to your quick connect where you plug your grill in please? I'm new to this and it'd be really helpful to see how they connected it up.

Cheers

Thanks! It looks like I'll be able to do what I want with this.

Have no idea how to put a picture on a computer. I suppose you could say I'm 'technology challenged'

However, I did look at mine and it's a block like you have in your picture so remove one of the 'plugs' and tap a line out. Easy peasy.

Simon,

I just wanted to let you know what I encountered. I had thoughts of doing something similar when I had my Funfinder XTRA 275, but the problem with using a common gas grill, such as my Coleman Roadtrip grill, is that the propane supply running through the trailer is regulated (low pressure) and the Coleman grill connects with it's own regulator. Double regulators won't allow enough fuel through to make the grill work. You have to make a special adapter to connect the Coleman grill without using it's regulator. Or, you just run a hose directly off the second propane tank on the camper. The Aussie grill that came with my F265RBSS connects to the propane system on the trailer, via the quick coupler, without it's own independent regulator.

Just sharing my experiences. I hope that everything works out well!!!
Mike

Above is correct.

I missed the part about you using a Coleman grill and NOT one that came with the camper from the factory.

Thanks guys! Yeah I guessed I'd have to remove the Coleman's regulator since the gas supply is already regulated at the cylinders.

Cheers

Yes, you did say in your original post "sans regulator"' . We purchased a Cuisinart hose for our Cuisinart grill to do that. But my husband prefers to grill on a picnic table and use the small bottles.

I, too, prefer to put the grill on the end of a picnic table but I prefer the practicality of using the RV's propane so I don't run out of gas. I converted my home grill over to natural gas so it runs off the house supply and, while it doesn't run as hot of course, it's wonderful knowing I won't get caught short with steaks on the grill and no gas to grill them.

Cheers

Should the day come when it's time to replace the grill that came with my XT276, I will probably consider something like this:

Stainless Steel Mountable Grill - Camco 57305 - Gas Grills - Camping World

Instant change out with this 'plug and go' grill.
