FF 18'9" FBR - Bed lights not working

Just bought a used FF X Sport. Neither of the front bedroom lights are working... My tester shows no electrical getting to them...any ideas at the panel? fuses all appear to be good (though I have noticed some 'lazy' wiring at the panel). I am presuming (perhaps erroniously?) that the bedroom lights would run off of 12v battery or when you are plugged in (I am plugged in to a 20 amp supply). Do some things on this model require (apart from A/C?) require you to be plugged into a 30 amp circuit in order to work? I have little else turned on in the trailer. I have been trying to 'map' what goes with what fuse, but when no power going to some wires it's difficult. Any help/knowledge would be appreciated.

Those lights should be 12V and either run off the converter if you're plugged in or the battery if you're not. The only thing you need to be plugged in for are things that run off 120V.

The lights should work any time you try them.... if you are not plugged in then they will run off the battery. I have the same model...mine work anytime I try them.

Most likely you have a loose wire somewhere, maybe a loose wire nut or wire clamp connector. They sometimes use those pinch together connectors that you squeeze with pliers.

I just now went out and did some fuse pulling and here is what I found. The kitchen light, range hood, and the front lights are all on the same circuit. On mine, it is the 4th fuse from the top. So.... if you kitchen light works, then check the range hood light. If it works, then you may have a loose wire inside the range hood... pull it apart and check. If the range hood also fails to work, remove the kitchen light and check the connections there.

The lights are very easy to remove and since it is a 12 Volt system, you will not get shocked.

Thanks so much! The kitchen light, fan and its light were not working and I found that fuse yesterday and they now work, but still nothing on the front bedroom lights. I will check the wires from the fan.... The fuse they had was a a 15v. I am presuming yours is the same? Though I kind of wonder if that's enough given what a fan would take.... ??? I have one other fuse on the 12v side that is a 20 amp. (still haven't quite figured out what that one is for... but today I bought a 12v tester -- my 110 votimetre does not seem to pick up a 12v signal... I see a day of pulling fuses and testing connections in my future. I'd like all the electrical in order before I put it away for the winter... Leaving Spring for any pluming issues aaaahhhh the life of buying a used trailer... )

Yes... mine is a 15 amp fuse too. Seems to work. Pulling the lights is easy... I would check the wires behind the driver side front bedroom light first.... If it is bad, that would kill both lights and it is easy to check. Then proceed to the range hood if you don't find success. You'll get it, I'm sure.
