Default front door problem

Anyone ever had a door come apart. The front door of my 2011 XT-276 is starting to separate. The first indication that something was not right is that the the door in the closed position, hit the frame at the top left hand corner as you face the door from the outside. Also, on the right side. wood is visible. I am wondering if the hydrolic arm at the top of the door could be causing this? I always thought that the force on the arm is plenty for what it does. I am trying to contact Cruiser now to see what they say. Anyone know what a new door may cost. Thanks.

No experience with your situation on the door.

Crusier can give you a price on a replacement door.

I contacted Cruiser and was told they may have installed an arm which is to powerful. I was also told to contact the dealer and have them take a look at it. Made an appt. to bring it in Tuesday. Will see what happens.

You may want to have someone check yours, It may be to late for mine.

If Cruisers' error caused the problem, maybe they will replace the door no charge.

Yes, mine seems fine and the arm isn't very strong but will check. Thanks.

Mine has no arm at all, 12-11 build date. Oh well I will call the dealer since the things been down there going on two weeks for multiple problems. I guess in their haste to throw this thing together they completely forgot to put one on, figures.

I believe the only reason the arm is there is so the door won't hit the canopy brace when the canopy is in the extended position. If the door was to open from right to left, there would be no need for the hydrolic arm.

Mine does hit the canopy brace and in the wind it can hit it hard. I suspect s complete oversight by Cruiser on my build and that list is growing daily.

If they install an arm on your trailer, make sure it is not over twenty pounds of pressure. When I spoke to cruiser, I was told that twenty pound's is enough to handle the door. It seem's like they know of the problem.

Brought it to the dealer, Cruiser refused to fix it since the warranty has expired. The dealer repaired the door and replaced the arm with a more suitable one. This was done at no cost to me.

I would recommend that every one who has a similar setup on their doors and the warranty in still in force, have the dealer check it out.
