Default Getting Rid of Green Mold/Slime

Hi again guys, looking for suggestions on how to get rid of mold/dirt that almost seems like it's embedded in the silicone sealant on windows, doors, etc. I tried using a toothbrush but afraid of damaging the chalking. Chalking is generally in good shape. I don't really want to remove and re-chalk everything. Any ideas?

Assuming that the correct sealant was used that won't be silicone caulk, it will be butyl caulk which remains pliable and never really cures. That's why grit and sand can sometimes get imbedded in there but it really doesn't hurt anything. If you don't like the way it looks you should be able to remove it easily enough and recaulk it. Just do not use silicone.
As you tow your trailer flexes and will cause silicone to crack and split creating leaks. Once it does, since nothing will stick to cured silicone, even more silicone, you can't caulk over it, so it has to be removed, which is nearly impossible. You want to get a butyl type caulking material designed specifically for RV's. Brands like Geocel or Dicor that are available at any RV parts store or on Amazon. Also, there are 2 types: self leveling for areas like on the roof and non-sag for windows, doors and storage hatches like in your photo.

A weak bleach solution will attack the mold. Sponge it on and rinse it off.

A few pro tips: don't use straight bleach. Wear gloves. Wear old clothes that you don't care if they get bleach spots.

I learned all three of those tips at once, a few years ago.
