Default Heat from Refrigerator

Is it normal for the counter top to get hot above the refrigerator. We removed the outside panel, and there is no insulation between the top of the refrig and the underside of the counter top. Should there be?
We just purchased our 2007 x139 fun finder, and we love it.

Yes, my cabinet above the fridge gets quite warm. Profdan has a link somewhere about how to insulate inside the fridge compartment to reduce the heat. Maybe someday I'll do that! I just make sure nothing flammable is above mine.
