Default Heater vent

I tested my heater today and furnace started up with no issues, however, the round vent under the refrigerator is not connected to anything. The heater duct hose runs right past the vent to the bathroom.

There is a heater vent at the end of the kitchen counter headed towards the bed and in the bathroom. Is the vent under the refrigerator a heater vent or is it just an air intake vent for the refrigerator area?

Yeah, that's what I figured. I really like my camper BUT the lack of quality control is disturbing. How can they miss hooking up the heater vent right next to the heater? I keep finding things that make me wonder. Oh well.

It seems todays' workforce feels very little 'responsibility' for the quality of what they do.

Visit with any employer and the majority of applicants are mearly 'warm bodies looking for a big paycheck'

That type can be found in any place of business or government entity....not only in the mfg of campers.

Quality of workmanship, workers and corporate culture in America is a whole other discussion we could get into another day. Overall, my camper is put together pretty well. Had they taken just a few more minutes and cared just a little bit more, I would have been saying "Wow, what a great job they did".

And it's not just this company. A friend just spent $300,000 on a class A and guess what, he has just as many issues. It wouldn't take that much more time or money to do it right. But if they can save a few bucks and we buy it anyway, why should they bother? Also, the RV industry is so competitive I guess they need to save where they can.

All that said, I am still happy to have my camper. Shake down cruise in couple of weeks.

Just spoke to my dealer's service manager. He says that the vent under the refrigerator is an access hole that Fun Finder tells the dealer to install since there is no other access to furnace and that Fun Finder provides the vent cover so it looks like the other vents.

Like Webslinger, I have a vent by the door, the bathroom and the garage, so I guess it's like it's supposed to be. So the bed area, bathroom and bike will be warm. I guess I'm ok with that.

Apparently they made changes.

My 2012 has one heat outlet vent in the garage area, one in the bathroom area, one under the frig and one by the front door towards the bed area.

I spoke to Jeffery at Cruiser RV tech support. He told me the vent is an air intake for the furnace. Ok, I guess.

The folks at Cruiser RV are good about returning calls.
