Default Honeywell 2000i generator

Does anyone have experience with the Honeywell 2000i generator. Campers World has them on sale for $500 with free shipping. My wallet is itching. I'm interested in performance and low noise. I know I won't be able to run the a/c and microwave at the same time. My objective is to run the water pump, a few lights, and perhaps a small heater.

Default 2000 watt generator

my 2 cents is that no 2000 watt generator will run the air.
It will run the tv and the microwave.

Thanks for your insight. Based on your comment and a thread on the Good sam forum, I'm going for a Honda. It'll be just for a few lights and water pump. Run ning the microwave also would be a plus.

You might be able to run to 2 Honeywell 2000's in tandem to operate your AC. I know that you can do that with the Honda 2000's, but I'm not sure about Honeywell.

On the other hand if you run 2 in tandem you have double the maintenance, more noise and you'll likely use more fuel.

Try you local Craigslist. I found a brand new Honda 3000 for $1500 and could have gotten older ones for even less. I think the Honda is also the quietest.

Thanks for your feedback. Good suggestion to try Craigslist. I'll likely just go for a single 2000i and forget running the A/C. After all, what's camping all about except to get out into nature.

Thanks, deerslayer, I'll look at Kipor. I think my local dealer carries those, but they won't be cheap at his place. I'll try yours.
