Default Hot Shower Anyone?

It didn't take us long to realize that the skylight over the shower in our '17 FF210UDS gave a whole new meaning to "hot shower". Not only was the shower unbearable at times, but it was raising the temperature throughout the whole trailer. So we repurposed some reflective bubble insulation by sandwiching it between the inner and outer layers of the skylight. What a difference. No, I didn't measure the difference, but I'd be willing to bet that 15 degrees reduction is a reasonable guess. And it couldn't have been easier. Only 8 screws hold the inner panel and shaping the insulation is by scissors. Voila! Not so hot shower.

On mine, an XT276 toy hauler .. there is a vent with translucent cover in the garage area with a bed that can be raised/lowered, in the bath over the tub/shower a large rectangular skylight w/translucent cover and a vent with translucent over over the front bed area.

I used 3" thick grey foam cut slightly larger than the openings and pushed it into each. It has adequate compression to stay in place even during travel and keeps the sun heat somewhat reduced within the camper so easier on the A/C demand.
