Default Hot water trickle

I have a 2011 Fun Finder-X160 and when I turn on hot water at either the sink or the shower it’s literally a trickle but the cold comes out fine. It has no pressure when at RV hook ups or on the tanks.

What could it be?

Hmmm. Is it hot?

On my old Fun Finder (not my new one), I sometimes got an air bubble (or something like it) in my hot water tank. I fixed it by purging the tank -- make sure the water heater is off. Then, with the pump running, push down on the pressure relief valve lever, located on the outside of the water heater. Let it run for a minute. Then release the lever and turn on the water heater.

Let us know if that works!!

Have you flushed the water heater recently? When was the last time the anode was replaced? There could be a bunch of crud blocking the outlet on the water heater.

I recently flushed and replaced the anode on our new (to us) 2012 and from all of the stuff that came out I'm pretty sure it was the first time it had been done. The anode was completely dissolved down to the steel rod too. It was only a matter of time before the line got clogged. Even if that isn't the root of your flow issue, it's good maintenance.

To flush, make sure the pump is off and that you are not connected to city water. Then release pressure by turning on a faucet (hot and cold), then just remove the anode on the water heater (1-1/4" nut IIRC). If it hasn't been done in a while, all sorts of crud will come out. I use a spray nozzle with a short section of tubing and shoot water inside the anode opening. Mine took several minutes of rinsing and draining to get everything out. If there's much pitting on the anode, replace with a new one (should be done annually).

Great thank you, I’ll give it a try. Ours is new to us as well so I am not sure when/if the anode has been replaced.

It is possible the water line has a kink in it and restricting water flow.

I had an issued with the shower lines ... worked great on hot and cold when we got it but a few years later, couldn't get much hot water. I removed the faucet mount to look behind in the wall .. the hot water line was extra long and when installed, it had a sharp bend that over time, kinked the line near closed.

Easy fix to reroute the line.

Best
