Default How do I drain the hot water heater

I just bought a used 2002 160 model. The manual says that the hot water tank should be drained as part of the winterizing. But I can not find a drain valve (like the main water tank has). It see it has the water heater bypass but I can not find any way to drain the tank. I live in NY so it will definately freeze. Thanks in advance!!!

The hot water drain is outside under the access cover for the water heater. Also it helps to open the hot water faucet inside to leave air in while draining outside. Some people blow low pressure air through the kitchen faucet to help get all the water out of the tank.
