Installed a shower Extend a shower expanding shower rod

The bath tub/shower area is the XT-276 doesn't leave alot of extra room when showering. The shower curtain tends to be pretty close when in the shower so the other day, I removed the factory curtain rod and installed one of these:

Now there is plenty of room to move your arms when showering and flipping the rod 'in' when done, makes a nice hanger for wet towels to dry without dripping on the floor.

The factory rod holders are just screwed into the wall paneling so not much for secure support. I cut two pieces of wood about 3" x 4", stained them with cherry wood stain and glued/screwed them to the walls where the factory rod holders had been. That covered the old screw holes and gave a much more secure mounting location of the new expanding shower rod set-up.

OH, and momma is happy.

This past Memorial Day weekend, had the first opportunity to really try out the extended shower curtain.

It really makes a difference as the shower curtain isn't always in the way or sticking to your arm, etc. I really believe it's a worthwhile improvement and now Mama is very happy!

Not sure if its because a corner shower or what. Very disappointed. If someone has it working in there corner and can post a picture that would be great as I could not figure it out.
