Installing Winegard on 214WSD
Forgive me if this has been addressed, but could not find a forum specifically talking to my question.
I currently have the Jensen Junk Omni disc TV antenna that is functionless and have a Winegard Sensar IV antenna that I want to install on our FF as its replacement. I cannot install in same spot because the Jensen is in the center between the front vent and AC unit, with insufficent room for the length of the Winegard, and it appears to be directly inline above the entertainment center cabinet at the foot of the bed. This means it has to go on left or right side of center of the roof. I will disconnect the Jensen and am considering cannibalizing its mount to put a real FM antenna at that spot. I am primarily concerned with making sure I clearly miss any roof truss in drilling my hole. Has anyone performed this exercise yet? I've written Cruiser to see if they will help with the tech info, but often they try to defer to the dealer and I'm not 100% confident that the dealer has the right info either! Definitely do not want to compromise the roof structure!
I'm guessing that if I located it inline with the location of the Jensen, I'd be fine, but not sure if that will be right. Suggestions anyone? THX!
