Default LED LIGHTS

I have a 2009 18-9 Fun Finder. So far it's a good Rig but it only has ! battery we run out of power sooner then I like. Im thinking of installing LED Lights. Im concerned if they are bright enough to read by. Also were to buy them.

I just ordered 1 of these, and 1 of the 200 Lumen to replace a ceiling mounted 1141 bulb fixture over my reading chair.

I haven't used these yet, so i can't say how they'll work. I'll update once we get them.

I saw the ad in Highways magazine (Good Sam), but Amazon sells them for $5 less + free shipping of order is over $25.

hth, Ron

I got the LED bulbs--1 of each--- 150 lumens and the other 200 lumens.

I like the 200 lumen bulb better. I haven't had a chance to sit down and read with it, but i think it is just as bright as the 1141. It has the more white light of the LED, vs the softer light of the 1141. It has a swivel that can be adjusted to angle the light a bit, but with the fixture cover on, it doesn't do much good. The fixture uses a single bulb.

On our next trip i'll have a much better opinion, which i'll post.

Default 2009 fun finder 18-9 Azusa ca.

Well I changed all my over head lights with 24 and 36 LED panels. Nice and bright. after 4 days of dry camping and reading at night for 3 (apx) Battery was up and going. I bought the lights on E-BAY. 12 of them for $10 per. They go in so easy( A Cave man can do it )

You should see my thread on the subject. I fully support this mod, it is not cheap but it will improve your light output and save power huge.

I have pics and details in the thread.

What about these T13 & 921 Miniature Wedge Base bulbs
Will they have enough light compared to the panels ?
There less expensive.

I considered those, but didn't try them since the description says they only have a 75 degree beam, where those 'frying pan' shaped ones have 120 degree. In retrospect for only $4 I wish I had bought one to at least try them out.

I find the factory lights are to bright.
If those led's are dimmer then expected Ill just turn on more lights(theres plenty of them )
I was thinking 6 led.s all around maybe 9 led's in the bathroom and outside strorage area and I think theres only one above stove if so Ill put in a 9 led.
I would also repace the ones in bedroom with the 1156 type led .
I think I should come in under $100 with shipping

Thoughts

Ill do it it the spring ,I just winterized and covered it and I have no door opening.

Like said by LJAZ these wont even remotely work due to an LED has an angle of view. The panel and or "Frying Pan" is down firing in its light beam so you get 100% of its benefit.

fourfourto, if you're looking for a dimmer light try one of the 6 led 'frying pan' shaped ones - WLED-xHP6-D. The one I tried was dimmer than the incancescent so it might work for you.
