Default Need help changing a light bulb, how pathetic is that!

This is the first time I had a light bulb burn out. I tried to pull out the bulb and it looks like you have to push in behind the light bulb on that little tab to release it, but that isn't working either. I don't want to break it, so can someone help me get this light bulb out so I can purchase a new one. Of course, this is in a very awkward place and I can't really see what I am doing. Hopefully, it has some sort of part number on it. I have attached a picture! Thank you for any help!!

Looks like a regular T-10 halogen. Use a pair of cut resistant gloves and pull the bulb straight out to the left in your picture. Just the glass bulb should come out, and all plastic white pieces should stay behind. It looks like it got a little hot at some point. Some of us have changed to LED lights instead of halogens to avoid this. Hopefully it has not melted any thing in the fixture. Also there is different colors and intensities of LED bulbs to choose from. The attached picture is of the bulb you are trying to remove. Hope this helps. Silverado
