Default New member tech questions

Hello

I have a 2007 X 189 FBR fun finder

I’m new to travel trailers got a few questions

when I connect to the tow vehicle the furnace fan stays on.

Also does the battery needs to be connected for the fridge to work when plugged to AC power ?
When I connect to AC power the fridge does not gets cold the button is on the on position

Thank you for your help

Welcome to the club! I can't answer the fridge question, but the furnace will stay on if you are plugged into the tow vehicle AND the furnace switch is not fully off.

Let me explain -- on many thermostats, you can slide the little knob all the way to the left. You think the furnace is off, but it is not. You have to push the knob a little bit to get it all the way to the left. You will feel it click.

Otherwise, if you just slide the knob left without clicking, you may find that while towing in cold weather, you have been burning propane for nothing.

Please don't ask how I discovered this little problem with the thermostat.

Be sure to ask lots of questions!!

As for the fridge, first do you have the manual? If not you should be able to find one online. The fridge does need to have 12V to operate, either from the battery or from the converter if plugged into AC. Are you running the fridge on gas or electric?
