Default No Sound!

Bought a used 2008 FDS 189. The sound system comes on, and seems to be working, but no sound! Am I missing something or is there a problem?

My 2008 X-160 had 2 speaker buttons on the radio - one for the inside set and one for the outside set. If both were set to off, no sound could be heard.

ON EDIT: I don't remember in that 2008 version, but in this new radio, it's difficult to tell which set of 3 speakers are set to on.

Strange things happen! I spent a couple of hours yesterday trying to get the stereo going, (actually mine is a 2009 model and it has the newer system with 3 speaker buttons), and it got absolutely no sound. Today I turned it on and it works and I did not do anything different!
