Default Pinholes in awning

When we put our awning out, we noticed pinholes along the top edge. Is it better to fill them in with this Awning Glue for pinholes

or use Tape like this

(Both cheaper at Walmart by the way)

Or something else entirely? Like clear gorilla tape?

Liz

I just read some posts about using silicone or goop or probably e6000 to fill the holes, but will this prevent further deterioration?

(just got home from 50-day Einstein trip (it's all relative) . . . . so sad . . . . wanted to camp some on the way home but the ticks are intimidating in MS, AL and LA.)

I cannot answer your inquiry specifically so would suggest you contact the customer service dept. of the product(s) you may use with your inquiry for a definitive answer. ??

Either of those will work. The tape might have a better appearance depending on the number and size of holes you have to patch. ( I'm picturing running a row of tape along the entire length of the awning where the pinholes are.)
As for further deterioration, the tape is probably a better option too as it will cover a larger area.
