Default Removing bed shelf

Has anyone removed the shelf over the Queen bed? I've cracked my head on it one time to many and it needs to go.

Just curious if anyone else has removed it.

I don't have that shelf but have removed several other shelves and cabinets, in order to customize the storage.

Hello camper5150, Yes, I too grew tired of cracking my head so I removed the bunk/shelf over the queen bed and repurposed the materials into a cabinet over the foot end of the bed for storage space. We’re very happy with the results and being able to now sit up in bed. I tried to attach the photos but the iPad wouldn’t cooperate. You can go to the gallery and find them there. Good luck and happy camping!

Hello camper5150, Yes, I too grew tired of cracking my head and of the claustrophobia so I removed the bunk/shelf over the queen bed and repurposed the materials into a cabinet over the foot of the bed for some extra storage space. We’re happy with the results and now being able to sit up in bed. I used the existing aluminum angle as support to keep it simple. I tried to attach photos but iPad wouldn’t cooperate. You can go to the gallery and find my before and after pics. Good luck and happy camping!
