Default Removing decals are a PITA.

Well my Fun Finder is almost 10 years old and the dark gray decals have cracked. Not sure why this decal color was the only one to crack, but given how hard they are to remove, I'm glad that it's one color and not all of them. Anyway, I'm using a razor scrapper, acetone, Goof Off, polishing compound and elbow grease to remove them.

Body shops remove decals are vehicles with a 'rubber type' wheel on a drill. Easy, painless and no work.
Might check with a body shop for an easy solution.

Sure enough, Eagle knows! I went to Amazon and searched for Remove Decals from car and there are several listed!

I finally got the dark cracking decals off one side. Looks a lot better, however, there is still a slight yellowing of the finish where the decals were. I suspect the adhesive discolored the finish because not even using a buffing compound will remove it.

Neighbor has a Class C with bad decals and none available from the factory or other suppliers.
Took it to a place that custom cuts new decals. They took photos of the decals, and computer cut/applied new decals that were just slightly larger than originals so covered any surface discoloration.

Sign shops use these a lot for car wraps.

I removed mine using WD 40 and lots of elbow grease. Mine were really far gone. Mostly just the glue residue remaining. Sprayed the WD40 onto paper towels to soak the glue, then used a rag to wipe and wipe.

Default Removing decals

I'm with kenvb.

I borrowed my wife's craft heat gun and used low heat and they decals came off fairly easily. Then I cleaned up any residue with Goo-Gone and finished by waxing the whole side. I removed several of cracked decals on my 2008 FF several years ago and plan to remove the rest of them soon. While there is some yellow-colored stain where the adhesive was, it fades a bit more each year and is only noticeable upon close examination.

I used this decal eraser wheel I got at Princess Auto for $17. Works great, just make sure you use it in low speed until you've worn the wheel down about an inch in diameter. As you can see in third picture I did remove some paint before I got the hang of it. All the yellow decals had to be removed due to the cracking.

Edit- I'm not sure how this would work on fiberglass. It may be too agressive
