Default Replacement TV

I don't watch TV very often in my 2009 X-189FDS, so it came as a surprise to realize that I have an analog TV which is virtually worthless these days. Has anyone out there replaced their TV with a digital model? did you buy a model specially designed for an RV, or just a regular model? Did anyone avoid the issue completely and install a converter?
All comments are appreciated. Thanks.

Can't help you a whole lot on replacement, my '09 came with the digital TV. But I don't think it's anything specific to RVs/trailers, just a standard 120V set.

Installing a converter should be pretty easy. They are small and just plug in line to the antenna cable. So you could just hook it up when you arrive & disconnect and stow it somewhere for travel rather than install permanently. On the plus side they can be had for around $50. Of course then you get have yet another remote!

Default Replacement tv

I have a 07 189 ,probably an 06 because it was made on 7 31 06, that had a real POS analog tv.Plus the cd-dvd player doesnt work well, just the radio does.
I got 19 inch tv that has a dvd player built in to replace it.Its a tight fit in the tv cabinet ,but light enough to set up outside on a table to watch dvds.
Dont know if this helps or not,
really surprissed that an 09 wouldnt have a good tv. Have seen some later model fun finders while camping and I really thought they were getting better than the older ones, with the slide outs and all

Thanks for the responses. LJAZ, I'll probably pay the local Goodwell a visit just on the off chance that someone has donated a converter. That might be the cheapest way to go.

RWD lll, I assume your replacement was a "regular' digital 19 versus a special RV digital. I know what you mean about a POS TV. my X-189 was manufactured in March of '09, so I guess they didn't think it necessary to install a digital. they didn't even install a good analog. I have a couple of other nits to pick with Funfinder after my recent trip, so I'll just add that to the list.

I just bought a converter and connected it to the TV.

I've never actually watched broadcast TV in the RV, but I could...
