Default RV electrical surge protection

RV electrical surge protection of afforded via the use of a "surge guard" device.

Depending on your choice, these may be hard wired into the RV electrical system or a portable unit where one end is plugged into the power pedestal and your RV shore power cord plugged into the other end.

IF opting for the portable unit, be aware, these are NOT WATERPROOF ~ only water resistant. Therefore, to guard against damage to the 'surge guard' during rain it should covered with a waterproof cover....or not used.
