Default shur flo issues with water coming out using city water

OK so I came into my camper up and walked in to water on floor. When I tracked it it appears it came out of the line we use to suck in antifreeze. There is a valve says open and bypass. So can anyone explain the different settings. Is bypass mean using the suck in hose or open? I find it odd water came out there so is something else opened wrong someplace. mine is an xt-245. appreciate any help on this odd issue.

It should be a three-way valve on the inlet side of your water pump, open is the path from the fresh water tank to pump inlet. Bypass is the path from the winterizing hose to the pump inlet. ( for winterizing only)
Normal would be "open" so water flows from tank to pump inlet.
Hope this helps.
P.S. never have valve halfway.
