Default Sleep tight Fun Finder!

It's time to put the FF away for the winter. Winterized it over the weekend and covered it today. My process for winterizing involves removing all food items, draining and bypassing water heater, pumping RV antifreeze through the water system, general house cleaning and spreading stinky dryer sheets everywhere. It will soon be time to do the same for the house before leaving for sunny Florida.

I"ve prepped my XT 276 for it's long winter nap as well.
NO stinky dryer sheets ... as I use Fresh Cab packets -- about 6 spread thu the camper as leaves a nice pine scent and NEVER a mouse invasion.
Probably deliver it to the storage location this weekend or next.

Sadly, our x210 will be put in “suspended animation” this coming weekend too . Drained the lines, reservoir and water heater tank yesterday. I have yet to blow out the lines, disconnect the pump and the accumulator then do a final rinse of the traps and waste tanks. Prolly tomorrow. I haven’t been putting anti freeze in the lines but do add it to the traps plus some in the black and gray waste tanks. I’ve never had a problem with that method. I use the Fresh Cab packets plus dryer sheets plus place a few poison dispensers. I’ve not had mice either.

Try using compressed air to winterize, Better for the environment and easer. I never have any problem just blow all the water out and leave your valves for you toilet open till every thing dries out. No fuss no muss and you wont get your dog sick.

Winterized ours two weeks ago. Bypassed and drained the water heater, blew out the city water and tank flusher lines, dumped the black and gray tanks, pumped RV anti-freeze thru all the faucets including the outside shower, put mothballs in all the cabinets and on the tires, covered her up and see you next spring.

I’ve always Winterized using the “blow out” method without having any issues. Not sure what’s meant by “leave your valves for your toilet open ‘til everything dries out”? Does that mean opening the gate valves and leaving the large drain cap off? I do add a quantity of antifreeze to both the black & gray tanks and really wouldn’t want it to drain out.

I had a problem with a crack in the back of the toilet one year and I think it was because maybe it had water in it and froze. So now after I'm finished I open the foot pedal for a few days till is dries out. Make sense? Other than that no problems.

First time I Winterized I kinda forgot to blow out the “flush” lines 🙁. No issues, I think that we had a very mild Winter 👍. I used to put a few ounces of antifreeze in the “bowl” of the toilet but found that to cause some “black” (?mold?) growth by Springtime so I don’t do that anymore.

I've winterized ours. It does get cold enough here in North GA to do damage. I use the house pump and antifreeze. Drain the WH.
I put some antifreeze in the p-traps, tanks and bowl. Since it's here at home I can check on it for any issues during the winter.
I also cover the water heater access and the refrig vents with garbage bags to keep out the wind and the critters.
Then tilt it rearward for better rain run off.
It would be nice to "un-winterize" and run to Florida in January........
