Default slide coming out going down the road

We have a 2010 21wbs - The top of the slide is coming out about a foot on the top going down the road when we turn. You can push on the slide when it is in & the top portion moves very easily and you can push it out about a foot. The slide goes in & out with no problems. Besides putting some kind of bar or wood to keep it from going out what can we do to fix it? We have owned it for 4 years & it just started doing it this last trip.

We have the same camper that we bought used. It has a bar that we put at the top to hold it in. That being said, the bar falls out alot......

My 189FBS has a piece of pvc pipe with rubber feet on both ends that keep it in place on top of slideout between slideout top frame and rigid top of wall above opening for slideout. The rubber feet are simply the type you would put on the feet of a stool or cane, available at hardware stores. Could also use a 1" wood dowel with rubber feet. Length cut so with rubber feet on it it fits snuggly to hold top of slideout tightly in place. I have a hang tag on mine that hangs down loosely as a reminder to remove before pressing the button to extend the slideout. You could damage stuff if you forget to remove the pipe or dowel prior to extending the slideout.
