Default Slide-out keeps stalling

The #1 motor of the Schwintek slider on our 2015 Fun Finder F210UDS will only move in or out about 3-4 inches before stopping. The error code lights on the controller indicate a motor short - 8 red blinks after 1 green blink. Performing the manual override procedure allows the slider to be driven fully in or fully out using the switch. Swapped in a new motor - no change, still #1 motor stalls. Swapped the #1 and #2 connectors on the controller - no change, still #1 motor stalls. Naturally, the owners manual says little more than "Yep, it's yours. Don't forget to maintain it. Good luck." Coincidentally, I recently installed a new 110v outlet with 2 USB outlets beside the bed just inches behind where the slider controller is mounted in the storage area. Tried uninstalling the 110v outlet - no change. But I'm still leaning toward the wiring.

IF it turns out to be a compromised control wire, does anyone have an idea where to find out how long the replacement wiring harness should be? They ain't cheap at $80-$120 and I don't want to order one that's too short and can't be returned.
