Any input is appreciated.
Here's my issue:
After investigating bubbles in the vinyl covering of the wooden base board of the slide in my '07 X250 BHS i found severe water damage to the slide base plywood board
(the plywood board on which the jack knife sofa sits.
I found and fixed the actual water leak and tried to dry out the wet wood as much as possible, but the wood seems too weak for my liking now and I want to replace the entire base board. After removal of "Horse Shoe", slide skirt, sofa and bunk (to lighten the slide), I now have a good view of all slide components. It appears thet it would be tricky to remove the base board of the slide without the rest of the slide structure to drop/fall apart.
Has anyone replaced this board before? If yes, how did you brace the slide? Does the slide have to be removed? If so, how do I pull it out with the least amount of trim/seal damage?
