Default Smoke alarm chirping every now and then

Battery is new and has water, camper is plugged up to 30 amp service pretty much all the time. I just noticed this happening the other day. I had went in the camper and it chirped as I walked by. Then A few seconds later it did it again. I reached up and pressed the reset/test button. Next day I was walking by camper and heard it chirp again. Then this morning I heard it chirp. What is this thing trying to tell me? We leave out in two weeks for a week long trip and the last thing I won't to hear is this thing chirping all week.

2012 XT276 is the model.

This smoke detector has always been to sensitive least little cooking inside sets it off of grilling with main door open sets it off. It's in a horrible location basically right over front entry door and kitchen area.

Does this detector have a battery in it or is it hard wired to camper battery?

On most RVs the LP leak detector is hardwired to the house battery, but, the smoke alarm has it's own battery; usually a couple of AA. The chirp is telling you to change the internal battery... If you pop it off its base, you should see them on the backside. As for how it "pops" off, depends on the type; some pull off, some have a catch on the side and then it levers off and others twist off their base.

Ok thanks I will take a look this afternoon. Just confused I guess on how the two are wired or how they are powered.
