Default SUBURBAN WATER HEATER

Help, I have a X-210UDS with the Suburban SW6DE water heater. As I was replacing the anode rod, I noticed the wires on the propane value were not connected. I have never used propane to light the heater, only electric. There is a black wire and a brown wire with connectors, and each has a pigtail wire coming out. There are 4 connectors labeled 1,2,3,4 on the value. Does anyone know which wire goes to which connector? I can not find a diagram with this info anywhere. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the info. I am heading over now to do some more work on the trailer. I'll hook up the propane value and try it out. Much appreciated.

Here is the manual. It has a wiring diagram that shows the above advice is correct. It also covers anode issues and much more. Watch out, that 110 volts will kill you. Pull the shore power.

http://manuals.adventurerv.net/SW6D-...stallation.pdf

Print it out and put it in your owners binder. Don't have an owners binder? Start one.

Your tank may have been bypassed for winterization. If so, your tank is empty and you can damage as in ruin your tank if you heat it while empty.
If tank is full, the water may be up to the preset temperature and the burner shuts down as it should. 10 minutes seems quick if water was cold. Inside the trailer, find the intake (cold) and output (hot) pipes. Feel the hot at the tank. If hot, you have a plumbing issue between tank and faucet.

If tank is not hot, open the outside access door and have someone turn the heater on. You should hear the igniter clicking, the solenoid will energize the valve and you can see the burner flame. If it lights but goes off before water in tank is hot, I would seek professional help.

The anode rod is a sacrificial anode rod. Home water heaters have them too. They corrode so that the inside of the water heater doesn't. They may look awful but that just means they are doing their job. They are good until about 30 percent remains. Water heaters collect debris and should be flushed at least once s year. You can get a fixture to put on the end of a hose to do this.
The internet is anazing. You can type a question into Google and it will come up with hundreds of answers. Do you have a manual for your water heater? If not they also are available online. Just type in the brand, model number and the word manual.

Sure but I am far from an expert but we do have more experienced folks on here that will jump right in and help to answer your question.

One additional thing to check is the one way valves going into and out of the hot water tank. My inlet valve was broken, consequently, I could not fill the hot water tank with water. As far as seeking professional help, you could do that, but if you are like me, I rather figure out what is wrong and fix it myself. Asking questions here and getting good answers is a great start. The more you know and learn about how the trailer works, the better off you will be on the road when something does break.

Exactly, I find this group to be amazing and very helpful. I do not see the need to pay another person to figure out the problem. Where there's a will there's a way. Any suggestions on outside light cover? websites, ect. My exterior light by my door is missing. It is oval shaped.

Look at the model # on the light and type it into Google a few different ways , or search Amazon to start.
If that doesn't work post a picture of it and I will look at the model on my lens and compare for you.

For a MY 2007 your best bet is to see if a local auto decal place can recreate them.
