Default The front corner of my 2006 FF X-139 is deteriorating

The front corner of my 2006 FF X-139 is deteriorating. The main roof was replaced with aluminum a few years ago. The part deteriorating is above the front window that doesn't open (vents for light) and is curved. The repair shop said it is caused by the sun's heat making it deteriorate, since inside he said it is cheap cardboard-like material. It is slightly uneven and dented, but not to the point of caving in.

Is this a common problem with 2006 FF X-139?

Any ideas?

I had to replace the whole front end of my 2006 X139 because the roof sagged and the seem cracked and the water came in. Did it myself and then had someone put on the new skin and caulking.
