Default Toilet seal

Hey guys when I removed the toilet to replace the floor I found there was a leak at the toilet seal. Its a foam looking type gasket. I was wondering if I could use a wax toilet seal (for a house toilet) instead of the foam. The wax seems like it would seal a lot better. Has anybody used the wax instead of the foam or is there a reason why its foam and not wax??

Not certain but foam seal seems to have more flex in it for trailer movement and vibration, wax seal may not hold up very well to the road.
