Default Washing you trailer ?

How do you wash your trailer ? It says on the web site to not use a pressure washer. I have always used one it the past. Also said to avoid spinning brushes.

I have a extendable brush that hooks up to a garden hose. I guess just use that.

I want to polish the front cap when I get it. It looked to me like the guy before me tried to repair a few rock chips and kind of made a mess on some small areas.

I use an extended handled soft bristled brush and dip it into a bucket of water with soap to wash and then rinse with a water nozzle attached to a garden hose.

For soap I use Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss - the dirt/grime just roll off and it air dries to a nice shine.

Also available at auto stores, WalMart and other big box stores.

Thanks, I will have to try that.

I guess I will stop using a pressure washer. My gas powered home one died last year and I haven’t repaired it yet. I used a long soft brush and the end of last year.

I use the same soap, brush bucket as I use on the cars.
Except that 0one, unknowing I camped beneath a Persimmon tree, then the pressure washer had to be used.

As long as you don't use a high pressure washer, nor focus the pressure on lights, vents, window seals, joints and the roof, why not? Common sense should be used obviously. It's not like a 2nd owner has any warranty anyway. I use a light duty pressure washer all the time and have had zero issues. But I take my time, and I like my trailer to look good.

I agree with Eagle’s “soft brush and a bucket” of some sort of cleaner. The “chemical guys citrus wash and gloss” is likely an excellent product but I’m thinking most of the automotive detergent products will suffice. The “gloss” part of he chemical guys product may take away the need to apply a protectant or wax to finish the job! The use of a power washer may be a bit too aggressive. If I were to use one, I’d definitely use the low pressure soap application mode!
