Default water in awning fix

Seems we/ve had this isssue for some time but I havent seen a thread - whenever it rains we end up with water in our rolled up awning. Others with this issue ? The mold gets ugly.

Don't have this issue. As far as mold goes, I spray a mold/mildew blocker on the awning as a prevenative every Spring.

I have noticed after a rain, there is moisture in the rolled up awning too.

No mold issues, however, have a practice of opening the awning after it rains so it will dry out. This has not been a big issue since we are in a drought situation in my area.

It appears the rain tends to run into the awning from the left/right ends of the awning, not much but enough to cause some drips when extended.

I have seen where people take a section of vinyl gutter and lay it upside down over the rolled-up awning. Perhaps if you extended it past the edges of the awning by a few inches on each side it would keep the rain out of your awning. But remember to take it off before you try driving down the road with it.
