Default What is this?

I've never owned a trailer that wasn't from the 70s, so I'm guessing...

Is the black button on the cable/12v outlet a signal tester? There's an indicator LED on the opposite side.

Thanks!

IDK Jeff. Ours has the cable outlet but nothing else. Might be for the 12volt socket.

Is that connection the cable or the antenna?

Had a similar cable connection in my unit. The little black button was for a signal booster as I recall. The round hole is a 12 volt outlet......like a cigarette lighter outlet but for plugging in a cell phone or ?? The red light should illuminate when the black button is pushed.
Have since changed it out when installed a HD antenna with a different switch plate.

Yup, that's a signal booster for the TV antenna.

Glad I saw this post, what/where is the TV antennae, if it is factory supplied, I have been using a indoor with poor results. I do have a short black antennae on top, but assumed that was for the stereo.

The short black antenna is for the radio. The TV antenna is a lot bigger and lays flat against the roof for traveling. There should be a crank on the ceiling somewhere that raises it up and can rotate it to get the best signal. There are a several variations on antenna shapes but it should look something like this:

My unit came with a Jensen TV antenna ... on stubby stand with round circular top, did not fold down.

I replaced it with one of these ...... far superior!

Yes, it is a signal booster. But watch out -- it is easy to leave it on (or to push it accidentally), and it uses some electricity. I made a little DIY cap so that it would not get pushed inadvertently.
