Just got home and cannot fill the fresh water tank. Figured out how to fill the hotwater and now I'm stuck. Have the hose connected, what am I doing wrong?

Some trailers have a valve inside for diverting fresh water from the hose into the fresh water tank, if yours does, I can't help you out, but.... Many (most I've encountered with the exception of 5vers) have a "trap door" near the hose connection on the outside of the trailer. If you open the trap door, there is chute directly into the freshwater tank for filling purposes. Point your hose there if you don't have a filling attachment handy ( a smaller hose that attaches to your fresh water hose and fits into the chute).

If you do have an inside diverter valve, most I've worked with have been located next to the water pump, just above the inlet to the pump (between pump and water inlet connection).

I have the same problem on my XT276. I finally turned the hose pressure up some and while it was running out the vent finally burped and spit a little water out and then spewed air like crazy. It is almost like it is plugged up and I have to pressure it up to make it vent. I checked for kinks in the vent hose but found nothing. Still have no clue why it does this and it takes me 2 hours to fill the tank because more runs out than goes in. What did you find on yours?

Hey guys, I had the same problem and it was the fill hose which runs from the fill on side of trailer down to fresh water tank. It was kinked...don't know how it passed inspection from factory.I cut it and reconnected it and can fill my tank now in about 10 minutes tops. If you guys have any other issues let me know I have redone alot of upgrades on mine already from wiring fixes/ upgrades to slide out to adding a second bed in the rear.I also got a weight for the tongs which was way heavy..1100 pounds and no water in the front but nothing in the rear swell to lighten the front a bit.need anything let me know...
