Have a 187FB Classic Cruiser. I believe the max weight is #5000. The Buick Enclave max towing is #5000. The trailer is never loaded to max weight. Is this too much trailer for a new SUV ?
Maybe, or maybe not. You really need to take more into account than just the gross weights. The Enclave 5000# capacity is also impacted by the weight of any passengers and cargo as well as the tongue weight of the trailer. Those need to be factored in when you are determining how much you can safely tow. Here's a website that has a pretty good calculator: http://changingears.com/rv-sec-calc-...eight-tt.shtml
We towed our 214 with a 2008 GMC Acadia. Towing capacity is actually 5200lbs. for the Enclave and Acadia. Our Acadia did okay towing our 214. After some steep hills, floored in 3rd gear, I sold the Acadia and bought a 2011 Jeep GC with a hemi. Much better than the Acadia.
