Default Caution when encountering a police towing check point...

I just had a Prodigy P2 brake controller installed and was warned by my installer to NOT to pull the brake away pin without unplugging the trailer from your vehicle.... It you do not 12 volts will travel back through the connector to your controller and fry it..... So if you are stopped and law enforcement wants to test the breakaway ALWAYS diconnect the main plug.......Then replace the breakaway pin reconnect the power plug and the remaineder of the lights can be checked...
