Default do I need a sway control hitch?

My last 5 trailers were 5th wheels. Tired of lugging around large trailer for just me and two dogs, I downsized to a 22' funfinder. I pull it with a 1/2 Ram with a hemi. The truck pulls great, but in truth I haven't towed the trailer any great distance, nor out west where I plan to go to see the National Parks.
Do I really need to install a sway controll hitch, or can I get by without it.

You will want a weight distribution hitch, but with your setup I'm guessing you probably don't need need the sway control.

I tow my 210WBS with an EAZlift weight distribution hitch without sway control. I have a 2011 1/2 ton Chevy crew cab and really don't see the need for sway control with my set-up although I could add it if I ever felt the need.

Or, if you choose the WD hitch that I did, it has sway control integrated into it, and is adjustable essentially from "very little" to "quite a bit" ( technical terms there....those are my words, not theirs ! ) by simply changing the torque of a couple of bolts. The bolts come up from the bottom under where the bars plug into the pivot there on the head.
