Default FF 160 and Tahoe XFE

We are considering a 2007 FF 160. Our tow vehicle would be a 2009 Chev Tahoe with XFE package. The XFE has the 5.3 V8, but has a 3.08 differential, rather than the standard 3.42. I think this TV will be fine with the 160, but does anyone have any experience with this setup?

Trailering info that I have on the model is:
Wt Distributing Hitch - Max Trailer Wt. 5500 lbs
Wt Distributing Hitch - Max Tongue Wt. 825 lbs

Weight informations is as follow:
Trim Curb Weight 5636.00 lbs
Gross Axle Wt Rating - Front 3200 lbs
Gross Axle Wt Rating - Rear 4100 lbs
Maximum Payload Capacity 1464.00 lbs
Gross Combined Wt Rating 11000 lbs
Gross Axle Weight Rating 7300.00 lbs
Curb Weight 5636.00 lbs
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating 7100.00 lbs

Suspension:
Spring Capacity - Front 3250 lbs
Spring Capacity - Rear 4100 lbs
Axle Type - Front Independent
Axle Type - Rear Semi-floating
Axle Capacity - Front 3400 lbs
Axle Capacity - Rear 4200 lbs
Axle Ratio (:1) - Rear 3.08

Wow they sure have downgraded the Tahoe towing capabilities. My 1999 had a max tow rating of 7200 lbs and easily towed my 210WBS.

At any rate I would think you should be OK. The 160 has a listed dry weight of 2200 lbs and a listed hitch weight of 225 lbs. So on the surface anyway you have ample capacity for the extra lbs for batteries, propane, water, passengers and gear and still be well within your 5500 lbs tow rating, and won't come close to exceeding the 825 lb hitch weight capacity. Hopefully, XFE means you have a trailering package that includes the heavy duty alternator, and extra cooling capacity. If so I think you'll be fine.
