Default Hitch Ball Size?

Getting ready to invest in a sway bar setup for my Funfinder 160WB. Currently using a 2" ball. Will it take the 2 5/16" one that comes with an Equalizer hitch? Thanks.

Hi Jimmy,
Welcome to the Forum...
Fist, it's extremely unlikely that a 2-5/16" ball will fit a hitch designed for a 2" ball... I would suggest staying with the ball sized for the trailer's hitch; if you don't, you are going to have to have someone change the entire hitch on the front of the trailer... expensive and unnecessary...

Happy camping...

Maybe missing something here ---- but the Equalizer hitch comes with the hitch head that fits into the receiver on your tow vehicle. That hitch head will take the 2 5/16" ball that comes with the hitch.

If I understand your question correctly, then no. If your 160WB hitch is sized for a 2" ball it's not going to fit on the larger one. You should be able to mount your current 2" ball on the hitch.

Thanks for the quick feedback everyone. I'll stick with a 2" ball and go from here. Can't wait to get back out there!
