Does anyone know if a Toyota Tacoma V6 with a tow package will pull a 2011 214WSD Fun Finder? Does anyone have a 214WSD and do you suggest for others to buy? We are currently getting ready to purchase one.
Towed a 21wsk with my ridgeline v6, rated at 5000lb tow capacity. Towed ok with extra mirrors. Found out wheel base on ridgeline was 2 inches to short to pull length of camper legally in Ohio. Loaded trailer was probably around 6000lb.
We are almost ready to purchase the same unit. We have a 2009 Toyota Tacoma V-6 with tow package. It has pulled a large pop-up trailer with no problems, however the 214WSD is much heavier. Our mechanic and dealer say we are well within the parameters, but I'm still nervous. Have you found out anything more or towed with this combination?
TRADED RIDGELINE IN ON A TUNDRA V8, SURE MISS THE RIDGELINES GAS MILEAGE COMPARED TO THIS 5.7 ENGINE. JUST DID NOT FEEL SECURE PULLING IT WITH THE RIDGELINE, ACCELERATING OR STOPPING! WITH THE TUNDRA, I DON'T KNOW THE FUNFINDER IS BACK THERE!
Went looking again today. Really liked the 210uds. It is appx. 3 feet shorter and at least 300lbs lighter. Another amazing floor plan for such a small trailer. Drove the truck to the dealership and was absolutely assured that our vehicle will tow this choice.
I tow a 214WSD with a 2010 Tacoma TRD Off Road with a tow package and have had no problems with towing or the trailer. Just make sure to get a good WD hitch with sway control, we have the Blue Ox.

Any recommendation on what W/D & sway control to buy? Do you know of place with good prices on hitchs?
