Using a 2011 Toyota 4Runner Trail

Hello

My wife and I have a 2011 Toyota 4Runner Trail. We are looking at the Fun Finder X 214WSD and we are new to travel trailers.

Is this travel trailer too heavy for the 4Runner to pull? What about tongue weight? Too heavy? Is anyone using their 4Runner to pull the 214WDS?

We live in Colorado so there are lots of mountain roads. We want to be safe and we don't want to wear out our 4Runner.

You don't say which engine your Toyota has, but assuming it's the V6 the tow rating is only 5000 lbs. The 214WSD has a dry weight of 3800 lbs. The dry weight of the trailer is measured without the 'accessories' such as propane, battery, awning, hitch, etc. So once you take into account all your gear you will probably be either very close to, or over 5000 lbs.
