Default V6 Mountaineer good tow vehicle for the Fun Finder 210WBS?

I’m looking at the 210WBS and want to know if my 4 liter V6 Mountaineer be a good tow vehicle for this trailer.

Any input would be appreciated.

The owners manual should say what the tongue weight/tow rating/curb weight and gross combined vehicle weight rating is for your truck. For us to answer that question, we need to know what year, what model, 2 wheel dive or 4 wheel drive, manual or auto trans.

Thanks for your response, here's what I know.

Year: 1999.

Model: Mercury Mountaineer.

Drive: 4 wheel drive.

Transmission: Automatic; has a transmission cooler on it.

Both my wife and I looked in the manual that came with the car, and could not find the towing rating. But by going to different trailer venders, they are able to look it up and say it is between 5,500, and 5,700. We are looking at the X-210 WBS, which is 3,730. I know that it is less than the max tow capabilities of my rig, but was curious to know if anyone uses a similar rig to tow with and their thought as to how it handled and if it needed a lot of other things to make it work.

Thanks again for your thought.

You will be fine, just be mindful of what you pack for trips. Get yourself a Weight Distribution / sway control hitch and you will have no worries. I use a 2006 Xterra with a 4 liter V6 to pull the 230DS trailer and the combination works great.
